Overview
Eagle Scout Park stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community's passion meets expert craftsmanship. Partnering with the City of Dunedin, Courtworks transformed severely outdated tennis courts into a premier pickleball facility for an ever-growing community of players.
Scope of Work
We extended the existing concrete slab to span over 22,000 square feet, creating the foundation for a state-of-the-art pickleball complex designed to serve players of all levels.
Premium Surfacing
Courts were outfitted with a premium cushioned surface that elevates comfort and playability and provides significant joint relief, making play accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
Enhanced Amenities
Beyond the courts, improvements included high-quality lighting for evening play, covered seating areas for spectators and players, durable and attractive fencing, and thoughtful landscaping to create a welcoming environment.
Community Impact
Driven by a local group of 500+ pickleball enthusiasts, the project reflects meaningful community input. The City of Dunedin incorporated player feedback to ensure the final design met expectations and delivered a facility the community could proudly call its own.
The grand opening drew 300+ attendees, including the mayor and Parks & Recreation representatives. A ribbon-cutting and symbolic first serve marked the celebration before players took to the courts.
A True Revival
The project exemplifies Courtworks' commitment to high-quality, community-focused solutions. By pairing technical expertise with a deep understanding of player needs, we transformed a neglected space into a vibrant pickleball hub.
This is more than a park, it's a cornerstone of the Dunedin community, fostering connection, healthy living, and a shared passion for the game.
