Located in a historic 65,000-square-foot industrial warehouse in Ybor City, Tampa Pickleball Crew showcases the fusion of passion, innovation, and community. What began as a bold vision from four founders grew into one of the most unique pickleball venues in the world.
A Bold Vision
The team set out to convert a century-old, long-abandoned warehouse into a premier pickleball destination—earning city approvals and building a facility that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Partnering with Addict Courts
Ahead of launch, the owners engaged Addict for our deep ties to the Tampa Bay pickleball community. We identified key improvements: replace low-quality net systems, add court separation, and activate a worn 650-square-foot area.
Facility Upgrades
We fully renovated the 650-square-foot area into a retail store, office, and podcast room—the first Addict HQ.
We developed and supplied top-tier equipment, including eight Thunderdome premium portable net systems and nearly 100 court barriers to ensure proper separation and professional play.
Support Facility Expansion
With the original eight courts fully booked, demand quickly outpaced capacity—marking the birth of Courtworks.
We delivered four additional courts: detailed CAD planning, new concrete slabs, premium surfacing and paint, installation of four more Thunderdome nets with barriers, and new perimeter fencing.
A Growing Community
With 12 courts, Tampa Pickleball Crew now accommodates a rapidly growing membership base, hosts larger tournaments and corporate events, and provides an elevated, professional environment for players.
A Special Legacy
Tampa Pickleball Crew is where Courtworks was born. The project embodies community, innovation, and a passion for growing the game.
